"What Makes YOU So Special?"

So how can you stand out from the crowd when that great job surfaces. Sometimes its just gets down to chemistry, other times the benefit or salary package doesn’t match, but often is boils down to how well you can sell yourself.
It is one of the few times in your life when you have to blow your own horn. A positive self image helps, but just being able to verbally express how you can contribute to the company will take you a great distance. A well written resume will spell out what you have to offer. Go over it before your interview. Don’t just think of what you did, but how you did it. What percentage did you increase sales? How did you reduce costs for an employer? Were you the troubleshooter in the office? Were you the one always to volunteer for extra hours? Were you pleasant to work with when everyone else’s nerves were shot?
Think. Think. Think. What makes you special? How do you stand out on the job?
Think like you were the person doing the hiring and the interviewing. What would they want to know? Tell them in a professional manner. Bring up positive points they might not have thought to ask. Give them reasons to hire you...
