Who Might Be Doing the Interviewing?
Written by Kathy Marshall, Professional Resume Writer
When employers hire someone, they so in terms of their own needs. As you can see, it’s your job to show them that you are the right person for the job. In turn they may have to sell you to their boss. You got your foot in the proverbial door with your great new cover letter and resume.
A lot can get down to chemistry and how you will fit into the company, so it may be a good idea to take the lead from the person doing the interview. Listen to their questions, and try to still the chatter in your own head, and answer their questions. Are they the relaxed type, are they very formal? You can help put them at ease, and increase your chances of getting hired, if you help them feel more comfortable. Smile once in a while and just be your natural self – your best natural self. Don’t forget to send them a thank you for their time, and restate your interest in the position in the letter.
So put them at ease, fully answer their questions to the best of your ability, and make the interview process work for you.
